atumatu Tanjiir's debut album is an exhilarating piece of post-metal best listened to in a dark room while rain patters the glass of a nearby window. The soaring guitars serve as the backbone to the band's identity as they traverse through 5 experimental and interestingly arranged yet entirely distinctive pieces. While there's no dip in quality across the album, my favourite tracks are "Against the Backbone of Night" and the aptly titled "Hypergiant", which feels both adrenaline-rushing and colossal. Favorite track: Against the Backbone of Night.

Quintessence After years of hard work, Tanjiir come out strong with their debut effort. Featuring beautifully executed leads and excellent ambient moments, if you're crying out for instrumental post-metal with a progressive edge, then Purnima will satiate your bloodlust. Favorite track: This Planet Does Not Harbor Life.

Special thanks to:

Bob and Jackie Hritz, Geno and Kathy Quiroz, Clutch and Laura Kargol for allowing us to rehearse and record in their basements and garages without yelling at us to turn it down.

Zack Burnickas and Jake Kargol for joining us on this ride.

IV Labs Studios (RIP) for their hospitality while tracking drums.

Everyone who has supported the band the past four years whether it was coming out to a show, buying merch, filling in for a gig last minute, helping us move gear or just asking us when the hell this was going to finally come out.

Sam Menne for not gawking at being asked to put a shitty cell phone photo on a very large canvas.

Robert Drauden for being an absolutely solid dude.

Sarah McDaniel for being our (un)official drummer for the past 2 years.

Dedicated to Mike Hritz, Bob Hritz and Bill Gaffney.
